Town of Matthews to Hold Business Summit this Friday


Local businesses are invited to attend the Town of Matthews Business Summit from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13th at Matthews Town Hall, 232 Matthews Station Street. This is the ninth summit the Town’s Economic Development Advisory Committee has held since 2010. Lunch will be served at 11:30 and the program will get underway at 11:45, concluding at 1:00 p.m.

Attendees will hear from the following speakers:

· Mayor Jim Taylor

· Tom Murray, CEO of Charlotte Regional Visitors Authority

· Warren Cooksey, NCDOT Director of Outreach and Community Affairs for Division 10

· Jay Camp, Senior Planner with the Town of Matthews Planning Department

The program will highlight ventures that can benefit businesses, updates on current and future road projects, current and imminent private development projects, and how your business is impacted by these advances. Attendees will also have the opportunity to ask questions following each presentation.
