FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Executive Committee of the Real Estate & Building Industry Coalition (REBIC) has named Rob Nanfelt as executive director. Nanfelt has served as the interim director since September 2019.
REBIC was organized in 1987 by industry stalwarts Allen Tate and John Crosland, Jr., whose influence has been instrumental in the growth of the Charlotte region. The organization was formed to take collaborative action on issues of concern for the membership, which is chiefly engaged in every aspect of real estate development -- from sales, building and engineering to finance, management and leasing. Overall, REBIC seeks to encourage regional economic growth and job creation while monitoring the health of the local real estate industry.
Nanfelt and Madeline Keeter, who serves as REBIC’s Government Affairs Manager with 12 years of industry experience, focus on monitoring and educating its membership, elected officials and consumers on local and statewide issues that often impact the business of real estate and development. In Nanfelt’s brief time as interim director, the organization has refreshed its brand and logo and has launched a new, more user-friendly website.
Jason Gentry, 2020 REBIC chair and a broker/Realtor® with Premier Sotheby’s International Realty, said, “Rob brings a wealth of real estate and development knowledge and is clearly committed to the mission of REBIC. We are fortunate to have Rob’s leadership to continue promoting smart growth policies and advocating on behalf of the local real estate industry.”
Nanfelt will also be responsible for an ambitious member growth campaign over the next two years. The organization’s membership is comprised primarily of Canopy Realtor® Association, Greater Charlotte Home Builders Association, Charlotte Region Commercial Board of Realtors®, Greater Charlotte Apartment Association and NAIOP Charlotte.
Nanfelt is no newcomer to the business, as he previously served as government affairs director and later as the executive vice president for the Colorado Association of Home Builders. Prior to that, he worked for a combined eight years for members of the U.S. House and U.S. Senate.
